Paul Bettany returns for a new MCU project
Variety has confirmed that Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas will be the showrunner for the series, known as Vision Mission, due to multiple reports surrounding the project. It is still unclear whether the program will continue to be called this because the information is not available.
The outlet also claims that a Marvel Studios show will debut on Disney+ in 2026.
The project was first announced in October 2022, with Scarlet Witch and Vision creator Jacques Shafer serving as lead writer. However, in September 2023, Schaeffer was reportedly no longer involved with production, leading many fans to believe that the series had been canceled. Then, in April 2024, details were shared from Productions Weekly showing that the project would begin filming in the UK this fall.
