A new report claims Neve Campbell won’t be the only one returning in Scream 7.

Besides Neve Campbell, Scream 7 will be close to bringing back two other famous faces from the franchise.

Neve Campbell isn’t the only one.

The Scream 7 series suffered from problems, the most notable of which was that the production lost lead actors Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega in the final films. However, the producers began to make moves, and they were able to convince Neve Campbell to reprise her role as Sydney Prescott. That’s not all, as it has been announced that the seventh installment will be directed by Kevin Williamson, who was responsible for writing the first film, Wes Craven’s Scream.

Beyond Campbell’s involvement in the project, there’s no official word on the rest of the cast, although Daniel Richman recently hinted at which other characters might be returning to the franchise.

According to the insider, Courteney Cox is a confirmed return to reprise her role as Gale (which makes sense considering she’s been in all six Scream movies). Interestingly, the second name mentioned in the report is that of Richman Patrick Dempsey who is said to be in talks to turn down the role. Dempsey’s last and only appearance in the franchise was in 2000’s Scream 3, where he played Detective Mark Kincaid.

Scream 7 still doesn’t have a release date.
