The BBC has said it will never use artificial intelligence to promote Doctor Who again.

BBC heavily criticized for its use of AI.

According to Deadline, the BBC will no longer use AI to promote Doctor Who after receiving several complaints. The network received some criticism from viewers for two promotional emails for the popular show, which allegedly used generative AI. Below is the statement published by the BBC.

“We followed all the BBC’s editorial compliance procedures and a member of the marketing team checked and approved the final text before submission. “We have no plans to do this again to promote Doctor Who.”

The chain also said the device was used in emails as part of a small-scale experiment to learn how to use the technology properly. So, viewers can now be sure that AI will not be a major part of Doctor Who season 14 promotion.

The sequel series will begin soon, and will feature Nkuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday.
