Will Anya Taylor-Joy be part of the MCU?
Insider Daniel Richman says Marvel is setting its sights on actress Anya Taylor-Joy to play a villain in the Fantastic Four. While the report is unclear as to who it is, many speculate that it will be a female version of Galactos, the popular Silver Surfer. Because a previous report said Noreen Rudd would undergo a gender transition.
However, jumping to conclusions here without more information would be wrong at this point. It’s true that there’s a chance the studio could make these kinds of decisions, but with the recent criticism of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s hard to imagine them risking changing such an important character. Although a large variety of secondary characters has been seen in previous MCU films (which is common with adaptations made by any studio), Marvel does not shy away from important characters.
Another point that has not been taken into account is that it has been said for months that the Silver Surfer, the herald we have seen in Fantastic Four, will not be. He may not know that there are many harbingers of rumors about the female version of this character. For example, there are two assistants of Galactus who can appear in the movie, one who calls herself Stardust, and the other is the Earthling Frankie Rey, who later becomes Nova (she is the most likely to appear).
