The new Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy trailer shows us the Darth Jar.
In a move that surprised and divided fans, Disney+ unveiled the first look at its new animated gem, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. The game not only focuses on popular characters like Jedi Bob, but also gives us the “official” first game of Darth Jar Jar, adding a new chapter to the Star Wars universe that started with 1999’s Phantom Menace.
The return of the most controversial character
Jar Jar Binks has been the subject of debate among fans since his first appearance, some love him, others… not so much. This new LEGO special seems to take one of the fan theories seriously (or is it in jest?): that Jar Jar is actually a villain with plans for galactic destruction, eventually involving the dreaded Sith.
The plot introduces us to Sig Grebling, a simple Nerf herder who discovers a powerful artifact in a hidden Jedi temple. This discovery throws him on an epic adventure in a changed and chaotic version of the galaxy where the good are no good and the bad can be heroes.
Celebrating 25 years of creative collaboration
James Waugh, executive producer, said, “It’s hard to believe that it’s been twenty-five years since our important partnership with The LEGO Group began. “LEGO Star Wars unleashes our fans’ imaginations, allowing them to play and build the galaxy in unimaginable ways.”
In the spirit of playfulness, the unique LEGO elements combine to create a whole new galaxy of fun with Imperial X-fighters, Rebel TIE-wings and yes, even Darth Jar Jar.

The release of the Dart Jar is not only a reminder to long-time fans who have followed years of theories and speculation, but also an invitation to explore the versatility of LEGO’s narrative within the context of the saga. This character, initially one of the most requested in the saga, has now become a symbol of innovation and humor, which LEGO has managed to integrate perfectly in its previous collaborations.
On the other hand, Sieg Grebling represents the classic story of an unlikely hero that resonates in popular culture from Luke Skywalker to Frodo Bolson. By bringing Sig into this chaotic galaxy, both companies not only celebrate 25 years of creativity, but also allow fans to actively participate in a story where everything is turned upside down, showing even the smallest detail in the LEGO universe. It can have amazing results.
A dream come true for show runners
