Nicholas Galizin has been cast to play the main character in the Masters of the Universe live-action reboot.

The long-awaited Masters of the Universe reboot finally got He-Man. Nicholas Galitzine will wield the sword of power in this new version of the 80s classic, now under Amazon’s MGM Studios. After years of development and several studio changes, it looks like the project is finally ready to take a significant step forward.

A project in motion

The Masters of the Universe reboot has been in development for a long time, facing several obstacles along the way. Originally planned by Sony, the project was moved to Netflix, where it is set to become a streaming production. At the time, actors like Noah Centineo and Kyle Allen were attached to the role of He-Man at various stages. However, the project could not take off and finally, in the middle of 2023, it was abandoned by Netflix. It was saved by Amazon MGM studios, which not only saved the project, but also introduced some changes and its structure.

Nicolas Galizin, known for “Red, White and Royal Blue” and the reboot of Cinderella with Camila Cabello, has been chosen to play He-Man. This young British actor has shown his versatility and charm in various recent projects, and now he is faced with the challenge of giving life to the heroes of the pop culture of the 80s, Galitzine already with Amazon MGM in the romantic comedy “The Idea” seems to have influenced his choice for this role.

This new edition of Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight, known for his work on “Bumblebee”.
