James Gunn has released a first look at The Peaceful season 2.
John Cena is ready to return to the DC Universe.
On Instagram, the head of DC Studios shared a picture from the set of the second season of The Peacemaker. In the photo, you can see Gunn’s own reflection in John Cena’s helmet, which he is preparing with the following team. The filmmaker says in a press release: “Day 1 T2.”
Although the episodes being filmed are said to be part of Season 2 of the show, the truth is that anything new should be treated more like a reboot. Let’s remember that the first season takes place after Suicide Squad, so everything that happens there is related to the old DCEU, not the DCU.
On the other hand, it has been confirmed that the Superman film and the film series starring Cena will be linked. Gunn has hinted that the March 2024 Peacemaker Season 2 will be about the aftermath of what we’ll see in the Man of Steel movie.
