Unexpectedly, the DC Universe villains are blamed for the collapse of the multiverse.

Fans immersed in the adventures that define the DC Universe have seen how the boundaries of reality stretch and contract at the pace of their heroes. However, “Flash #7” offers a deeper and somewhat disturbing reflection of the consequences of these heroic actions. With Wally West gone and the creation of reality revealed, this issue confronts us with a truth as disturbing as the speed force itself: The speedsters, those icons of hope and speed, may be under threat to many like never before.

The source of the storm

Thanks to Simon Spurrier and Ramon Pérez, the plot takes us beyond the narrative of heroes against extraterrestrial villains in a story that combines action and science fiction. This time, the danger is incredibly close, the speed is emerging from the measures they take to protect their universe. The vision comes from Inspector Pilgrim, a member of the newly formed Line Bureau, continuing the mission of the original Linemen, but with a new focus and direct connection to our main characters, Max Mercury and Impulse.

The Bureau Wally West’s investigation into “time warps, dimensional breaks, and reality cracks” culminates in a startling discovery: speeders are tearing the world apart through time and reality changes.

Heroes or threats

The paradox is easy to see: those destined to be predators can unwittingly hasten the destruction of everything. Despite this bleak outlook, the Linear Bureau is determined to resolve the crisis without escalating into violence. However, this resolution results in Max Mercury and Impulse being arrested and excluded from any assistance, and Wally West emerges as Public Enemy Number One on the “Time Police” list.

This plot of “The Flash #7” not only re-enacts the challenges our heroes face, but also invites us to ponder the consequences of their actions. Can the Speeders find a way to repair the damage as the guardians of the DC Universe?

Between speed and fate

Wally West, heir to the Flash mantle, has always been a symbol of hope and perseverance in the wider DC Universe. From his early days as Kid Flash to taking on the role of mentor Barry Allen, Wally has proven to be more than up to speed. He is a hero whose humanity shines as brightly as his speed. But “The Flash #7” paints it in a more unique light, with his legacy and actions under the microscope, exploring how even the best of ideas can have unexpected consequences.

This twist not only adds layers to the character, but also reflects a universal truth: every action has an impact, and navigating the delicate balance between good and evil is as challenging a task as facing any villain. The hero’s duality and menace put Wally and his cohorts in a dramatic moral dilemma, as they struggle not only with outside villains, but also with the unintended consequences of their own actions.

What is expected of DC speeds?

As “Flash #7” is now available in comic book stores, fans are on the edge of their seats, waiting to find out how this amazing event will turn out. Will Wally West and company be able to redeem themselves and save reality, or will they be remembered as the unwitting designers of the crime? This twist in The Flash’s narrative not only adds depth to the characters, but also reminds us that in the comic book universe, the most heroic actions can have unintended consequences.
