The latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex teased what could be the next big villain of the series, and it’s not a character fans are expecting to step into that role anytime soon. After seeing how powerful Boruto is now, neither Kod nor Kawaki seem to match his strength. However, Demon has shown himself to have an unprecedented level of strength, and he may be just the opponent Boruto needs.

After the brutal and degrading descent of the Boruto Code, few can match Boruto in strength, especially with his Rasengan Uzuhiko. The only person that comes to mind is the mischievous boy, Damon. With his amazing and mysterious powers, he is currently the only serious challenge for the main character. Demon has been sidelined for far too long and Boruto Episode 2 may give him his time to shine.

Damon is talking to Ida.

As soon as Boruto uses the Rasengan Uzuhiko, the demon realizes where the tremors are coming from and how the technique works. This little part of the episode reminds fans of how powerful and terrifying Daemon is. Now that Code is so weak, it sets the stage for him to take over as the new villain.

Demon from Boruto

Demon and Ida are cyborgs created by Amado to defeat Ishiki, but they are locked away by Boro when he is told to destroy them because they are too powerful and dangerous. They then code freed themselves to form an alliance with them, which they did, but later disowned him and went to the Hidden Leaf Village. The only reason the Vengeance Code didn’t try to get back at them for stabbing him in the back was because of Daemon’s ridiculous strength. The first fight between the two ended in a humiliating defeat for Kod, and even with the assassins removed, he still couldn’t come close to Daemon’s strength.

Demon is not only incredibly strong and fast, but also has one of the most terrifying abilities in the series. Daemon can redirect opponents’ attacks back at them, and if someone simply intends to harm Daemon this will automatically do so. Like his sister Ida’s omnipotence, the Demon’s power was created by imitating the divine abilities of Amado, Otsusuki’s god Shibai. The only caveat to this ability is that the daemon must touch the person it attacks, leaving it vulnerable to long range attacks. Still, with Daemon’s speed and raw power, this isn’t much of a problem. Even Amado said that when it comes to battle, Demon is stronger than Ishiki and Naruto.

Demon will be the first test of Boruto’s new strength.

Boruto is now stronger than ever, and without even using his karma, he defeats Kod in a hard way. With the two main antagonists from episode 1, Kod and Kawaki, now compared to Boruto, the series needs to create a new threat for the main character as soon as possible. Damon’s introduction early in the series caused quite a stir due to his superpowers, so it’s only fair to see him play a bigger role in the story. Considering how cool and awesome Boruto is after his return, he deserves a dangerous villain who can pose a real threat to him, and Demon checks all the boxes.
