A new filmmaker has joined Marvel Studios’ shortlist to direct Spider-Man 4 .
Adam Wingard, the director of Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire, is another candidate to direct the next Spider-Man film.

According to MyTimetoShineHello, Wingard is among those responsible for the fourth Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The list of filmmakers rumored to direct the MCU project also includes Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods), Sam Raimi (Spider-Man), Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious), James Wan (Aquaman), John Francis Daly and Jonathan. Goldstein (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), and Adil El Arby and Bilal Fallah (Batgirl, Ms. Marvel).
Wingard is currently working on the action film Onslaught, so it’s unlikely he’ll have time to film the Marvel project.
Spider-Man 4 still doesn’t have a release date.
