Actor Nicolas Cage Faces Criticism and Reveals Secrets Behind the Camera as Superman in Flashpoint
Nicolas Cage seems unable to escape the great web of controversy surrounding The Flash. You know when you encounter a giant spider in a movie scene and everything is captured by technology? Well, that’s just how the lovable Nicholas, as Iron Man, makes a surprise cameo appearance, but things don’t go as planned.

Among the conflicting opinions, criticism comes from someone close to the first Son of Krypton project that Cage was supposed to be involved with: Tim Burton. The visionary director expressed his “quiet rebellion” against the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to recreate certain parts of the film.
Nicholas, on the other hand, tries to clear the air and explain the situation: “When I went to see the movie, I was fighting a giant spider. I didn’t do that. “It’s not what I did.” Rather than AI, Cage played a major role in this scene with CGI, which allowed him to fight the spider and regenerate it digitally. Furthermore, he shared his displeasure and concern about the use of AI, describing it as inhumane.
The cameo challenge and multifaceted controversy
Flashpoint is a battlefield where opinions, hopes and disappointments collide. The film was criticized for its image quality and multiple cameos in the performance, some of which seemed more generational confusion than cinematic glory.
One of the main points of criticism was that Grant Gustin was not featured as The Flash, a roster many fans considered a missed opportunity. Dramatic scenes rendered by AI or CGI models often come off as emotionless, leaving viewers feeling disconnected.

In a chaotic superhero universe, Cage briefly shines as Superman in Flashpoint. This isn’t the first time Cage has stepped up to the Iron Man mantle. Back in the 90s, he almost played Superman in a Tim Burton movie, Superman Lives, which unfortunately never saw the light of day. That version promises to be unique and extraordinary, featuring a never-before-seen Superman.
The Scarlet Speedster movie attempts to resurrect that vision, blending past and present in a cameo that seeks to pay homage to what could have been. However, the intrusion of technology and criticism seems to have eclipsed Cage’s expected appearance, leaving us longing for a Superman still trapped in the trunk of unfinished projects.
