In an interview with SFX Magazine, Jaffa and Silver commented that the newest film in the saga will be visually stunning compared to Avatar and Dune. Jaffa had this to say about the film.
“Well, the world has changed. Thematically, it asks different questions, and the characters are different. I’d say it’s as visually stunning as Avatar or Dune. In fact, there is no such thing. That experience, in the cinema, is a whole new world. Yes, it is our world, but our world looks different.
Silver explained that the visual aspect will be accompanied by great characters and a good story.
“It’s a beautiful film based on beautiful characters that you really care about. Yes, you have this amazing landscape, but none of it works unless it’s based on great characters and an amazing story. “This next adventure offers new things, new surprises, while honoring and familiarizing ourselves with the past.”
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters on May 10, 2024.
