Jon Bernthal returns as The Punisher
Although many fans of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle are curious about what Marvel Studios will do with the character, there is currently no official information on what role he will play in Daredevil: Reborn. However, a photo has already been published where you can see Castle being abused.
The account Littlepandapit shared a close look at Bernthal on Instagram. Apparently, the actor has just finished filming a fight scene, as the star is seen to have some injuries on his face as well as his knees. The post comes with the following message: “Thanks Jon Bernthal for being awesome and taking a photo with me!”
The Punisher is clearly one of the biggest draws in Rebirth, and Bernthal himself commented during an interview with Collider that he’s committed to the character.
“I think there’s a reason why that character resonates so deeply and so strongly in the hearts and minds of comic book fans, first responders and people in the military and people around the world. I think there’s a little bit of Frank Castle in everyone. He is very strong in me and I am very worried about that character.
“And if we’re going to do it, I know it’s very important that we do it well, and that we have a real integrity with the source material and the source. Frank’s heart. “If we’re going to do it, I’m going to do everything I can to make sure we do it right.”
Daredevil: Rebirth doesn’t have a release date yet.
