The Penguin is the next project set in the Batman universe.
After the success of Batman, Matt Reeves got the studio’s approval to expand his universe, with The Penguin being the first project to originate from this world. Currently, the series based on the famous villain does not have a specific release date, but David Zaslav has revealed when it will finally be released.
When will we see the penguins?
David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, confirmed the show’s first date. According to Zaslav, The Penguin will peak in the third quarter of 2024, the end of the year.
“Next quarter we have ‘Hacks’ and ‘The House of the Dragon,’ followed by DC’s ‘The Penguin’ and the new ‘Dune’ series. Then in 2025, to name a few, the new season of ‘The White Lotus.’ ‘, followed by ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘Euphoria’.
The show was created by Lauren Le Franch and stars Colin Farrell as The Dark Knight. The Penguin begins one week after the events of Batman and examines the rise to power of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot in Gotham’s criminal underworld.
