A terrible emotional journey awaits you in the next part of the arcane

After the acclaimed success of its first season, the long-awaited series “Arcane” based on the League of Legends universe is gearing up for its second installment. Fans are eagerly awaiting, and based on recent revelations, they may need to keep a box of tissues handy.

An emotional return

In a recent interview with TechRadar, Ella Purnell, who voices the character of Jinx, shared her latest impressions from the studio where she wrapped up the second season finale at DBB. “I remember two years ago when we finished season one,” Purnell said, “and now I’m back in the studio doing final edits on season two and I can’t stop crying. If it was up to me, I’m sure the audience would shed tears too. “It’s horrible.”

The actress emphasized that the results of this season will not be easy to digest: “No one will feel good after watching.” This statement promises to leave a lasting impression on its listeners, far from happy endings.

Conflict escalates in Piltover and Zayun

Alongside Hailee Steinfeld, who plays V, Purnell returns to further explore the turmoil between the two sisters, Jinx and V, on opposite sides of the conflict that is rocking the town of Piltover and its dark spot. “As tensions grow between the magical Piltover and the underworld, the sisters are confronted by their faith and the mysterious technologies emerging from their conflict.

The production of this second season took longer than expected. Explaining the reason for the delay, Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent said: “It wasn’t ready yet and there are two reasons for that. First of all, we want quality. We do not want to rush the process, and this will take time, this is a good reason. The bad thing is that we didn’t start working on the second one until later because we didn’t know if the first season would be successful. If we had known, we would have started much earlier. We’re paying the price for that now, so unfortunately it won’t be released this year.”

Expectations grow in the presence of an iconic character.

In this story, Jinx emerges not only as an important character, but also as a symbol of emotional turmoil and psychological complexity. The evolution since the first season has set a new standard for character stories in animated series. “Arcane’s” ability to weave deep emotional crises with a rich visual backdrop resonated strongly with its audience, raising expectations for this second installment.

Comparatively, Jinx is seen mirroring the DC Comics characters like Harley Quinn, both of whom share an unpredictable nature and a history marked by trauma and change. However, “Arcane” managed to distinguish Jinx by giving it a unique depth in the universe that is spread in the League of Legends, where magic and technology are in a constant moral and physical battle.
