Anya Taylor-Joy reveals she didn’t speak to Charlize Theron while filming Furiosa for good reason.
Furiosa, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, stars Anya Taylor-Joy, who now plays the character Charlize Theron brought to life in the previous film. Although the young actress thought that she asked Theron for some advice in order to give a good performance, the truth is that this did not happen.
Why hasn’t Anya Taylor-Joy talked to Charlize Theron?
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the star revealed that she didn’t meet Theron because she wanted her performance to be free of influence and to offer her own take on Furiosa. However, Taylor-Joy contacted Theron after filming wrapped.
“You have to go on your own journey with this. But as soon as I did, I found her to be a huge fan, not only as an actress, but also as a person. And she’s as wonderful and cool as you’d expect, and she’s really supportive and classy, so I appreciate that.”
