Some of the best relationships in Naruto are platonic friendships, and one of the best examples of this is the relationship between Guy and Kakashi. With a close bond since childhood, Guy and Kakashi’s relationship has certainly had many defining moments, but almost none have been as memorable as their run after Kakashi was announced as the next Hokage. After the race, Guy gives Kakashi flowers and mentions that he doesn’t think Kakashi will have time to complete any more challenges.

Boruto had it easy for a long time. His biggest complaints were that his father was never around or that he was too busy to pay attention to him. He did a lot to attract attention, usually by causing trouble in the village, but he proved incredibly legitimate for a long time. Not having a direction in life didn’t seem urgent to him at all, but Kakashi had some good advice that helped him get a little closer to the right path.
