A new report reveals who could take over as Supergirl.

Production continues without problems

After it was revealed that Millie Alcock will star in the DC Studios film and Ana Nogueira will be writing the script for the project, it has now been reported who could direct the popular superhero.

Deadline says filmmaker Craig Gillespie is in talks to direct a DCU film. Gillespie is known for acting in films such as I, Tonya with Margot Robbie and Cruella with Emma Stone.

Deadline’s report calls the film simply Supergirl , which could indicate that the project’s title has changed. The production was originally titled Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow. So, since the Man of Steel movie was originally called Superman: Legacy, the same thing happened to Superman.

The film has no release date yet.
