Marvel Animation has made one of the most anticipated announcements with the first images of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the new series about the arachnids that will give a big twist to the plot
Marvel Animation surprised fans during its presentation at Disney’s D23 Expo by sharing an exclusive preview of its new animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. While the footage has not yet been made public, the excitement is already in the airthanks to the details revealed now the first images we have been able to see.
One of the series’ strong points is its animation style, which clearly pays homage to classic comic book art.in particular the work of Steve Ditkoco-creator of Spider-Man. Animation captures the essence from Peter Parker’s first appearances, but with a modern twist that is sure to delight new viewers and longtime fans alike.
In it exclusive clip that was shown, Peter Parker has not yet become Spider-Man. The scene shows him being driven to school by his Aunt May, when suddenly a portal opens in the sky. From this portal emerges a Venom-like creature, which begins to attack. In the midst of the confusion, Doctor Strange appears to confront the monster, finally managing to capture it and take him back through the portal. It is at that moment when a spider falls from the portal and bites Petermarking the beginning of his transformation into Spider-Man.
Norman Osborn, an unexpected mentor
One of the most intriguing revelations of this series is the relationship between Peter Parker and Norman Osborn. In this version of the story, Osborn serves as a mentor to Peter, similar to the role Alfred plays for Batman. This dynamic brings a new level of complexity to the plot, moving away from previous versions where Tony Stark occupied that role.
In another close-up clip, we see Spider-Man fighting some bad guys on the streets of New York. Interestingly, her dress is an early version of the iconic outfit, with cobwebs generated by a life-related system. During the battle, Norman Osborn guides Peteroffering him advice on how to handle the situation, further underlining his role as a mentor in this story.
Marvel Takes a Different Approach with Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
This new series It is chronologically placed before the events of Captain America: Civil War of 2016, but introduces a significant change in the story as we know it. A luxury voice cast
