Harrison Ford fans can start the month of November by accessing one of the iconic actor’s most revered films on a new platform. Ford’s critically acclaimed action thriller, The fugitiveshould be available for free.




Popular over-the-top content platform Tubi confirmed it will start streaming The fugitive in November 1. The action thriller is available on Netflix, Starz and Apple TV, either by subscription or rental/purchase.

Hollywood icon Harrison Ford is enjoying great success on the small screen.

Based on the 1960s television series of the same name, The fugitive sees Ford wrongly convict vascular surgeon Dr. Richard Kimble, who was accused of murdering his wife and sentenced to death. Kimble escapes from police custody following a bus crash as he takes justice into his own hands and searches for the real killer as he flees police and a team of U.S. Marshals led by Deputy Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones). The Warner Bros. film also presents Bad boys franchise actor Joe Pantoliano, Emmy winner Sela Ward and the late Star Trek: The Next Generation starring Andreas Katsulas.



The Fugitive was a great success despite Harrison Ford’s fears

Although Ford and Jones had reservations about The fugitiveFearing that it would flop in theaters and negatively affect their careers, the film flourished critically and commercially. First in 1993, The fugitive earned $370 million worldwide against a budget of $44 million, becoming the third highest-grossing film that year. The film also earned seven Academy Award nominations, with Jones winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Ford, who beat out other big names such as Alec Baldwin, Kevin Costner and Michael Douglas to play Kimble, also earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance. The fugitive then spawned a much less heralded sequel in US Marshalswhich starred Jones alongside Pantoliano, Wesley Snipes and a young Robert Downey Jr., who later expressed his disdain about it.

The fugitive will be available to stream via Tubi on November 1st.
