TV sensation Gina Rodriguez has found her next role. The actress is set to join the popular ABC series, Will Trentstarting with its upcoming third season.
According to Deadline, Rodriguez will play Marion Alba, “a charismatic and confident assistant district attorney new to Atlanta.” After their first meeting with Will goes awry, the duo are surprised to learn they must work together to investigate a crime in Atlanta’s gang world. Will Trent marks a return to scripted television for Rodriguez after headlining the short-lived sitcom Not dead yetwhich ran for two seasons on ABC from February 2023 to April 2024. She also expands her relationship with Alphabet Network following her co-hosting duties alongside Shaquille O’Neal on the game show Lucky 13which currently takes place on Thursday.
