Boba Fett’s Uncertain Future: Robert Rodriguez Addresses Fan Expectations About The Bounty Hunter’s Return
In season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’, there is a very dark mess on Mandalore: the scattered Mandalorians unite to make a united front against the remnants of an empire that refuses to accept its defeat at the hands of the Rebel Alliance and its new status before the new Republic, a new leader emerges who will guide them to a better future, and the famous dark saber, symbol of Mandalorian power, is broken.
And with all this trouble mounted, which is no small thing, Boba Fett doesn’t even show up to throw a cable. If I’ve seen you, I don’t remember. Kind of weird, right?
‘The Mandalorian’ has become one of the most popular series in the franchise, and among the many classic and new characters that have appeared in the series, one of them, a very special one, has been absent at a crucial moment in the saga series. This has raised doubts among fans, as after seeing him advertised on promotional posters for Season 3 that turned out to be inaccurate, it is already beginning to be doubted whether we will see this former bounty hunter again anytime soon.
Many fans are waiting for a second season of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, the spin-off series that follows the character’s adventures after the events of ‘The Mandalorian’. While it’s not official yet, there are hints that the series could continue and offer more details about Fett’s story.
Fett will be back, but when and where is anyone’s guess
Season 4 of ‘The Mandalorian’ begins production later this year and Fett is expected to appear in it again. But hope is one thing, and reality is quite another. Places to reappear have several, and we do not imagine that the film that brings together all the Filoni series does not have this iconic character from the saga.
Although there is no official news about the character’s return, rumors and speculation have increased in recent days after director Robert Rodriguez, who directed one of the episodes in the second season, mentioned that he cannot say whether Fett will return or not. series in an interview with Gizmodo.
Rodriguez:
“I can’t say…I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could tell you what you want. I know all the answers to what you’re asking, but I can’t tell you anything.”
Rodriguez expressed his enthusiasm when talking about his experience working on a ‘Star Wars’ project, describing it as a wish come true, saying it was “a dream come true” .
Rodriguez:
“Everything you saw on a daily basis… didn’t seem to be behind the scenes. It felt very real… The sets were so realistic that even the volume of sound felt authentic, making you feel like you were in a real Star Wars… You know, there’s something called ‘Rock Camp’ where if you want to play with Joe Perry, the guitarist for Aerosmith, you pay money to go on stage and play with him for two seconds.”
“This is what a director would be willing to pay to have their own ‘Star Wars’ camp. Directing, editing and being a part of this universe is one of my favorite experiences because it was like doing a dream come true.
