Although many Iron Man fans are happy with James Gunn’s take on the DC hero, the truth is that the latest photos from the set of the Superman movie are getting mixed reviews.

Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner/Green Lantern and Isabella Merced’s Hawkgirl appeared on the set of Superman, and the fan reaction to the appearance of these superheroes was not very positive.

James Gunn and his versions of Green Lantern and Hawkgirl

After the negative feedback received by the latest Superman images, some fans will have proof (according to them) that explains the suspicious appearance of Green Lantern and Hawkgirl. Apparently, these superheroes wear the same leather clothes that Mr. Terrific wears, which includes jackets.

The Lordtech logo not only on Mr. Terror’s chest, but also on his Green Lantern and Hawkgirl costumes proves that they all work for Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn), and thus they become part of him. Tools. They are probably members of the Lord-backed Justice League International.

The two groups of fans who make the most noise

The announcement of James Gunn as the head of DC Studios was news that some fans of the superhero universe didn’t like, but the worst part is that controversies continue to surround the DCU. Although many think that the problem is only Zack Snyder’s fanatical followers, the truth is, on the other hand, they are not doing any better.

The group representing Snyder’s toxic fans should move on because it’s clear they’re looking for any detail to criticize Gooney. In fact, in some cases, they even upset the group that is now in charge of the DCU. It seems they were more fans of Snyder and Henry Cavill than Superman.

On the other hand, we have Gunn’s loyal followers who think that everything the legendary filmmaker touches is gold. The curious thing about this team is that it reminds me of some of Snyder’s fans when he was still working in the DC universe.

An important point with these fans (something Snyder loyalists did as well) was related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and after being disappointed by recent UCM projects, it seems they want Gunn’s DCU to bypass Marvel Studios. Although some of the costumes shown on the set of Superman may not be the best, they try to explain everything and there is no shortage of people who say that it looks better than the latest Marvel project.

Superman hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
