Even if Yellow stone comes to an end with season 5B, this is not the end for Taylor Sheridan’s television universe. There are several spinoff series and sequels in development that will continue different branches of the Dutton family storyline. The second season of 1923 is currently in production, with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren both returning for the final season of the prequel spin-off with an estimated premiere sometime in 2025. There are also several sequel series in development with uncertain release dates, notably 6666a spin-off centered around the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, and The Madison. The latter of these two spin-offs will star Michelle Pfeiffer as wealthy widow Stacy Clyburn, who moves from New York to Montana to establish a new life for herself and her family. This series is much more advanced than 6666 and could be released as early as 2025.
Some rumors also claim that the story of the main Yellow stone casting could continue in some form. Many fans have called for the continuation of Yellow stone in the form of a spin-off following Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, although their fate in season 5 remains ambiguous. However, nothing of the sort has been officially announced by either Paramount or Taylor Sheridan, who still insists that Yellow stone will end the stories of its main characters.
Yellow stone‘s final episodes may be harder to watch for fans without cable TV, but it will certainly be worth it to experience the long-awaited conclusion to the Dutton family saga. With new episodes leading to an explosive conclusion, Yellow stone Season 5B has been a must-see television event for six years.
