Wizards of the Coast has launched Modern Horizons 3, the new collection of the world-famous Magic: The Gathering (MTG) card game. The set features powerful new cards and reprints of Magic’s history for the modern format. Modern Horizons 3 is full of collectibles and nostalgia for gamers eager to sink their teeth into.
We managed to open some envelopes and some resources confirmed that Horizons of Modern 3 is one of the most anticipated, powerful and influential editions of 2024. Ajani Goldenmane returns to fight the giant Eldrazi that devour him.
Modern Horizons 3 Eldrazi returns in force
Modern Horizons 3 includes Tales of the Eldrazi, an unfathomable tale of horror and the inter-dimensional titans of the Eldrazi and their planeswalkers. With these divine creatures previously unreleased, players can release Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek in their amazing physical forms, foil healing cards, or borderless profile healing and booster packs.
We were able to open some packages and play the presentations and the truth is that the energy and power of the Eldrazi is back. Emrakul feels as powerful as ever and the Eldrazi are accelerating his mana curve. The same thing happens with energy counters, the more you accumulate, the more combinations you can have between cards. The abundance of powerful creatures and tricks, as well as the mana accelerator, are a new resource for modern players, making the format a little more accessible.
As for the game and collector’s envelopes, in both cases the differences are less than the other editions, as the opening is very satisfactory. Powerful cards can be opened in both types of packets, and that is appreciated. In terms of price, there are real treasures in the collector’s packs, but without a doubt, the same powerful cards can be found in the game boosters. With this, we can find these cards in different versions, arts and treatments.
