A new update reveals that WandaVision was originally planned for a ten-episode series. This only fuels rumors about the appearance of another Avenger in the deleted episode 10.
WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer confirmed that they wrote ten episodes for the series, but they cut the season before production. “WandaVision was originally ten years old [episodes]then, for logistical, budgetary and creative reasons, we combined two episodes,” she revealed during a Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith interview. She did not specify what was contained in this deleted episode, nor how the supposed episode 9 unfolded. The penultimate episode of the final cut explored the story of Agatha Harkness and the “rebuilding” of Westview. A mid-credits scene also teased a resurrected Vision.

Schaeffer said WandaVision served as a model for Agatha throughoutit’s the season. “When moving into the living room, I wanted it to have the same size and surface area as WandaVisionso yes, it was still nine o’clock“, she said. WandaVision remains one of the most notable releases in the MCU; its unique premise drew on nostalgia for classic TV sitcoms. It also introduced another sympathetic villain, Agatha Harkness, whose story was fully expanded into her own television show. A Vision the series was revealed to be in development in May 2024, teasing the character’s continued arc in the MCU; a recent report confirmed that Ultron will also appear in this show.
