An ally of the Straw Hat Crew for over a decade now, Trafalgar D. Water Law is a vital and beloved character. One piece character. Although a minor character when first introduced, he soon ended up saving the lives of Monkey D. Luffy and Jinbe. Then, he is drawn into the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates after the time jump. He’s incredibly well-liked by fans, and audiences are eager to see him after the predicament his last confrontation left him in.




Law is a character who considers himself a level-headed planner. However, he is naturally impulsive and thrives in chaos. Law is also characterized by his anger and his ability to hold grudges. His tragic story left him angry at the world, and then at Don Quixote Doflamingo. He channeled this anger into an overly complex revenge plan from which he was not guaranteed to survive. After this arc, he seemed to soften up a bit. Doflamingo’s defeat and Luffy’s influence freed him from his grudge and allowed him to seek a less revenge-oriented goal. However, even unintentionally, his actions since Dressrosa are still based on revenge.

Since the Seraphim are clones of different warlords, they could have been based on more people. Additionally, Almost Warlords should be considered.

After the destruction of Flevance and the hunt for the victims of amber lead poison, Law wanted revenge on the entire world. This made him an easy target for Doflamingo. Things changed when Corazon, Don Quixote Rocinante, decided to save him. Law was 13 when Cora-san died. He spent the next 13 years hatching a revenge plan that would kill him. However, he was much lighter after Doflamingo’s defeat. He let go of the anger that defined much of his life and chose the pursuit of knowledge as his goal.


Law doesn’t want One Piece. He just wants to know the secrets of the D. Clan. The two things are linked, however. Law wanted to know ever since his parents warned him about the danger his name posed. Cora-san also told him to keep his middle name a secret. While this goal seems unrelated to any revenge, it puts him directly at odds with the World Government and the Marines. It is these groups that are responsible for the downfall of Flevance. By discovering these secrets, Law will obtain some revenge against his very first enemies.

His other enemies are also sources of fortuitous vengeance. While Law was fighting with Big Mom because he was fighting Kaido. She happened to be another opponent to free Wano. However, Law also has a personal connection to her. Bepo is Law’s navigator and close friend. Big Mom killed Bepo’s brother before they could reunite. By defeating Big Mom with Eustass Kid, Law avenged Zepo for Bepo.

Today, Law finds himself in one of the worst situations he has ever faced. His ship is destroyed. His enemy is much more powerful than him. He doesn’t even know if his crew is still alive. Blackbeard completely outclassed Law in every way. While they were both already enemies because they are both looking for One Piece, Law’s stakes in the conflict are now entirely personal. He has always shown himself devoted to his crew, and there is no question of him accepting their defeat without doing anything.

Despite the character growth Law experienced during Dressorosa, Law has every reason to return to his grudges. He has every reason to take revenge on Blackbeard for his crew and his ship. While fans don’t yet know where Law is currently, it also gave him a new reason to team up with the Straw Hat Crew. Although they can’t follow a plan, they helped him get revenge the last time he tried it.


The law has grown and developed since its introduction. He moved beyond his anger and resentments to become a more positive character. That didn’t mean he stopped seeking revenge, it just meant he stopped looking for it. Law dedicated himself to goals that would make him happy and help him on his journey. He just so happened to be getting revenge or aiming to get revenge on his enemies along the way. Now he finds himself in a position where he has every reason to take revenge once again.
