Clark Kent of David Corenswet does not only bring a fresh face to Superman – he brings Easter eggs that refer to the wider vision of James Gunn for the interconnected DCU.
Recently revealed promotional images reveal Clark de Corenswet to Kent farm, the nap with Krypto has spread over his chest in what seems to be his childhood room. What attracted the attention of fans was not the super-network, but rather what will decor the walls.

The Easter eggs of the poster create an unexpected franchise connection
The Clark farm of the farm is filled with goodies for the DC lover in the eyes of the eagle. SmallvilleThe “Crows” team is a bench in favor of a pennant for the Giants of Smallville – the football team of the local high school of the influence of John Byrne in 1986 The steel man Standing series – coming the walls in good place in the background.
More gratifying for the hopes of DCU, however, is a poster for the fictitious group The Mighty Crabjoys, which has nothing to do with the comics of Superman, but everything to do with the expanding cinematographic universe of James Gunn. Powerful Crabjoys are a fictitious punk group that appeared before the Frankenstein T-shirt in Max’s Creature commandosAs well as on a display panel in the trailers of season 2 Peacemaker – which means that Gunn’s Dcu projects three for three with regard to this small interconnected detail.

Although fleeting, the group’s cry suggests details in the DCU booming Gunn, something cruelly missed in the previous franchise; A coherent shared culture extending beyond the crossing of superheroes. These apparently disposable substantive elements greatly contribute to establishing a lived universe where the same groups, marks and cultural contact points can exist on different stories.
