Olga Kurylenko talks about the changes in the next Thunderbolts movie, revealing big surprises

The MCU never ceases to amaze us, and the upcoming movie “Thunderbolts” is no different. Star Olga Kurylenko, best known for her recent role in “Black Widow,” shared some hints about the amazing star attached to the title of this highly anticipated film. Although her statements are measured, the actress confirmed that the project has seen significant changes since the first announcement. “Well, a couple of things have changed. [Risas] That’s all I can say, but that doesn’t mean anything because every movie is different and things change in every movie. But yes, it will be different, we’ll see,” Kurylenko commented.

The beginning of something new

Guessing what this star symbol means has captured the imagination of Marvel fans. A popular theory is that “Thunderbolt” could actually be a “Dark Avengers” movie, which would represent a dramatic change in Marvel’s narrative. MCU president Kevin Feige raised this topic at CinemaCon last month, but added more mystery to the issue, urging viewers to wait until the film’s release to find out the true meaning.

Production on the film is already underway, as Florence Pugh shared a video from the sets on her Instagram page. In this short clip, not only is Yelena Belova’s new outfit glimpsed, but the title reveal is captured on the back of a chair on the set with the new star in the logo.

The hour of the anti-heroes?

Thunderbolts featured a unique and complex lineup of characters. Taskmaster, played by Kurylenko, is an enigmatic character whose ability to mimic anyone’s fighting skills makes her a formidable force on the team. Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who has made her mark on the MCU, has emerged as someone who can influence the Thunder’s transformation movement and perhaps lead a cause that not everyone understands or shares.

Considering the potential connection between the new super team and the Dark Avengers, fans can’t help but wonder what role Yelena Belova will play in this story. His past experiences and relationships with other important characters in the MCU could determine the direction of the Thunderbolts and bring an interesting perspective to the team.

A diverse and powerful group

The film’s super team stars including Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), John Walker/US Agent (Whitey). Russell) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko). Adding to this impressive cast is Sentry, who plays a powerful but unstable character, replacing Steven Yeun from “The Walking Dead.”

Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, played by Julie Louis Dreyfus, is said to be instrumental in the formation of the group and possibly the creation of Sentry. There are also rumors of appearances by other popular characters such as Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz) from “Black Widow” and Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne) from “Ant-Man and the Wasps.”

High expectations

As the May 2, 2025 release date approaches, one thing’s for sure: Marvel is cooking up something big and different, a new take on what it means to be a hero… or an anti-hero.

This new approach, which could be hiding behind a Thunderbolt movie, suggests that the MCU is preparing something more than a simple superhero movie. They are creating a narrative revolution that could change our understanding of the boundaries between good and evil in the wider Marvel Universe.
