Recruit Originally, John Nolan de Nathan Fillion being the oldest recruited officer in the history of the LAPD. Since season 5, Recruit changed this premise, making Nolan a training officer. However, he does not currently have his own trainee to guide, but there are still two new officers recruited with Miles Penn from Deric Augustine, a former Texas police officer, and Seth Ridley, a nervous child who takes terrible decisions.

Recruit is a spectacle that balances tensions, action and moments of light character. Except for the rare cliffhanger as in “Wildfire”, most cases or problems of the series are solved by the time of credits. It is a more “well-being” series than other police procedures.

The second half of season 7 will surely look like the first half. Recruit Will balance large cases and heavy episodes with smaller stories and at the street level focused on recruits’ training. Miles Penn adapts to his role in the LAPD, while Seth Ridley must be considered as his mistakes and deceptions. The season promises to be dramatic and intense, but always full of romance and humor that makes Recruit unique.
