A screenwriter has expressed frustration with the upcoming Raven reboot leaving fans on edge.
A new version has emerged from the shadows of cult cinema that promises to resurrect the popular Crow movie. However, initial impressions of this long-awaited approach may not be very encouraging. A recent scathing comment by the film’s screenwriter, Cliff Dorfman, has set the networks ablaze with a scathing criticism of the Lionsgate production.
A faded hope
Dorfman, who contributed the script to The Raven Project, took no hint, describing the reboot as “horrendous” and “unwatchable.” Although I don’t think his first message is that your money will be removed from the platform or worse than the first. That’s how it is. And no.”

The cast is rounded out by figures such as Danny Huston, Laura Byrne, Sammy Bouajilla and Jordan Bolger. This combination could have been a formula for success, but early reviews seem to indicate that.
The film arrives in some foreign cinemas on June 7, 2024. Although controversies have been shown at the entrance, only time will tell if Raven can redeem himself in front of the audience or if he will be remembered as a failed revival attempt. Classic. Hoping for a better turn, fans of the genre still have a glimmer of hope, but hope to be surprised.

The series has gone through several iterations in other media, including the television series and comics, expanding the Raven universe but never achieving the epic status of James O’Barr’s original work. Despite the criticism, the series maintains a core of loyal fans who appreciate its dark aesthetic and revenge narrative.
