Daredevil: Rebirth has two very recent character arcs in sight to bring to the screen alongside the first series in the MCU.

Marvel is set to enrich the landscape of street-level superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Inspired by the popular Daredevil comics, this new adaptation promises to delve into the underworld of New York City politics and crime.

News site The Cosmic Circus revealed new information. The series will reportedly include elements from Marvel Comics’ “Devil’s Reign” and “Gang Wars.”

Daredevil: Rebirth is an adaptation of potential arcs

In 2017’s “Daredevil #28,” written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Ron Gurney, we saw a shocking scene. Wilson Fisk, known as the Kingpin, was able to secure the position of mayor of New York. His victory was not only the result of charisma; It includes fraud and embezzlement. With his newfound power, the Kingpin sets out to implement his sinister agenda: suppress all vigilante activity in the city. This puts local heroes like Daredevil in a difficult position, thwarting their efforts to fight crime and corruption.

The “Devil’s Reign” arc explores the complex power dynamics between the Kingpin and the vigilantes who dare to oppose him. In this arc, Kingpin uses his political influence to attack vigilantes, outlawing their activities. This leads to a fierce conflict between Daredevil and the Kingpin, with the latter using all his resources to hunt down and destroy Daredevil and his allies.

The addition of the “Gang Wars” arc hints at more conflict as different criminal factions fight for control of the city’s underworld. In this arc, several criminal factions, including the Magian, the Kingpin organization, and the Silverman crime family, collide in a brutal battle for control of the city’s lucrative criminal enterprises. Amid the chaos, Spider-Man, Daredevil and other street heroes find themselves caught in the crossfire as they try to maintain order and protect the innocent.

Return of Daredevil to the screen

“Daredevil: Rebirth” marks the return of Vincent D’Onofrio, who reprises his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, who starred in the popular Netflix series and will be seen back in Hawkeye alongside Echo. It has its own series in January. His awesome presence will be felt again.

Charlie Cox BraveCharlie Cox Brave

As for the cast, we get the return of Charlie Cox, who gave life to the main hero as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the same Netflix series. Unlike the classic costume we saw in She-Hulk, it will be fun to see Cox don the Daredevil costume and this time in red. The actor widely rumored to be returning is fan favorite Jon Bernthal, who will be entering the MCU as Frank Castle/The Punisher. The return of Bernthal, known for his literal portrayal of the anti-hero, promises to add another dimension to the series and could raise the levels of violence even further.

The new creative team behind “Daredevil: Born Again” includes co-directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, and they have indicated that they are committed to delivering a high-quality series. Dario Scardapane, the executive producer behind both seasons of The Punisher, is helming the series as a showrunner. Original showrunners Chris Ord and Matt Corman are attached as executive producers, ensuring continuity and experience in crafting the series’ narrative, under the new Marvel Spotlight imprint, a series aimed at mature audiences.
