Marvel Studios is renewing one of its Disney+ shows for a second season
Hawkeye season 2 will be in development according to new rumors that will also provide plot details.
Marvel Studios wants more Hawkeye
Insider MyTimetoShineHello says Hawkeye’s second season has been greenlit, so we’ll see Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop on Disney+. MyTimetoShineHello also revealed that Clint’s brother Barney will play an important role this season and that Clint and Kate will be trapped in the same location, reminiscent of the Indonesian movie Deadly Raid.
Marvel Studios has yet to confirm that Hawkeye will have new episodes, so all information shared should be treated as rumors. However, if the report is true, the studio will have to work magic to make the new strategy of releasing two series a year (not including animation) work if it plans to air multiple seasons of the shows that are doing well. And at the same time they plan to start new heroic projects (with several successful seasons), then the time between each series of seasons will be very long.
If Marvel takes a long time to release new episodes, this can cause some problems, but the biggest one is a lack of fan interest in a particular project. We have a very recent example with the Invincibles series. Therefore, it is very dangerous to start a new season after 5 or 6 years from the previous one.
