The launch of Mission Impossible 7 streaming comes with a change in the title

Mission Impossible: Deadly Judgment – Part 1 now has a release date on Paramount+.

The release date for the latest Mission Impossible movie has been revealed, and it comes with a new title.

Mission Impossible 7 will be released on Paramount+ with a slight change

The seventh and eighth films in the Tom Cruise-starring saga are conceived as two parts of a single story, featuring Ethan Hunt and his allies facing an AI that represents a major threat to the world. While fans of the franchise await the arrival of the second installment, Deadline has revealed when Mission: Impossible 7 will be released on streaming.

The film is currently set to premiere in the United States on January 25 on the Paramount+ platform, according to the outlet. However, the surprise of the news is that the subtitle “Part 1” in the name of the film has been deleted.

Although the seventh installment of the saga received rave reviews from critics and the general public, the film disappointed in the theatres. The numbers obtained at the box office do not show the danger, but the problem is that the film had a very high production cost. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the project to increase its budget significantly, due to the implementation of security measures due to the situation. Additionally, the Barbenheimer incident caused the film to underperform in theaters.

Maybe the studio is making the decision to rename Mission Impossible 8, since the public doesn’t think it’s part of the story. Obviously, this is a pure assumption, although many think that it is a mistake to put “Episode 1” in the title of the recent franchise film.

Mission Impossible 8 will hit theaters in May 2025.
