The new trailer gives us a look at the upcoming chapters of the Suicide Squad video game season pass, and Joker will be the first new playable character.
In a surprising move, Rocksteady Studios shook up the gaming world with its latest announcement: The Joker, the iconic and chaotic DC villain, is joining the cast of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” as a player. But beware, we are not talking about the usual Joker. This is a different Joker, younger, more experienced, and surprisingly more willing to work as a team.
The concept of Elseworlds: many possibilities
The addition of this Joker is the game’s first DLC episode, scheduled for March 2024. This new Joker, young and part of a suicide squad in his own world, promises a dynamic and chaotic gaming experience. Far from its traditional solo counterpart, this variant of Clown Prince of Crime brings a fighting style based on constant movement and unpredictability.
This exciting development builds on DC’s Elseworlds concept, which explores alternate stories and parallel worlds outside of the main canon of the DC Universe. The video game features several alternate worlds created by Brainiac, including the new Joker. Additionally, this content will be free and the new characters and locations will be available to all players without the need to check out. The only thing we have is a video game that we pay for and if we want a battle pass it gives us cosmetics.
Game and release: The countdown has begun.
In the year Set to launch on February 2, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” promises action. With its fast and frenetic gameplay style, this title is destined to be a milestone in DC video game adaptations.
With the arrival of this new character and the expansion of the Elseworld concept, Rocksteady not only brings back one of DC’s most iconic villains, but opens up many possibilities for future narratives and characters in the video game universe. DC and Squadron fans are no doubt waiting to experience a new version of such a beloved and feared character.
When Rocksteady Studios introduced this new character to the video game, fans began speculating about other popular DC villains who might join the game. One of the names that resonates strongly is Harley Quinn, who is already popular in the Arkham universe. His acrobatic fighting style and out-of-control nature will be a wonderful addition.
Another possible candidate is Deathstroke, a famous mercenary known for his strategic skills and combat prowess. His introduction could offer a more tactical and calculating style of play, providing an interesting contrast to Joker’s chaotic approach.
Poison Ivy is shaping up to be an excellent addition with the ability to control plants and mind control. The ability to engage multiple enemies at once can provide unique gameplay dynamics that focus on battlefield control.
Finally, we can’t forget the Scarecrow, whose techniques based on fear and fantasy can add a surprising psychological element to the game. Distorting the player’s perception and creating mind-blowing situations will be a new revolution in gaming.
In addition to expanding the cast of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” these characters enrich the game experience with a variety of combat styles and abilities, keeping players hooked and eager for more content.
