The newest film in the popular franchise stars Henry Cavill as the character and is directed by the brains behind John Wick, Chad Stahelski. In an interview with Collider, Stahelski revealed that filming on the project will begin in January in Scotland and that pre-production is currently underway.
We started filming in Scotland in January, so that’s why I’m leaving as soon as I get out. I’m off to Scotland on Monday to scout the final location.
The saga began in 1986 with the original film starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery. Although the film was a box office failure, it ended up being a cult success and spawned three film sequels and two television shows.
