James Gunn has confirmed that Frank Grillo will be part of the second season of The Peacemaker

James Gunn took to Instagram to confirm that Grillo, who voices Rick Flag Sr. in the animated series Creature Commando, will be making his live-action debut in the second season of The Peacemaker. The publication shared a photo of the filmmaker with Grillo, which was accompanied by the following message: “Happy to announce that the great Frank Grillo will be reprising his role as Rick Flag Sr. He makes his first appearance in animated form in Creature Commandos, Season 2 of The Peaceful. “Christopher Smith and Rick Sr. have some unfinished business to take care of.”
While this issue should be big news, the problem is that Gunn’s lack of clarity about the DC Universe could cause more controversy. The first season of the popular director John Cena-starring series isn’t canon for the current DCU, with many wondering why Christopher Smith and Rick Sr. have a little unfinished business to take care of. If it’s not a member of the DCU who appears in Suicide Squad, Rick Flag isn’t killed by Smith (conveniently if these characters’ histories aren’t the same).
