Inconsistency in the super court

The surprise comes later in the same episode. While Homelander is busy holding a meeting at the Tech Night mansion, MM, Annie, and Kimiko enter the house. Even if you try to be discreet, you can’t completely eliminate the noise. They have a physical altercation with Firecracker and Sister Sage, and when MM shoots Sage, gunshots are heard despite being muted. Interestingly, the character shows no sign of hearing this, nor do they know that his enemies are nearby, which introduces a huge inconsistency in how his super hearing works.

One possible explanation is that the Homelander must actively activate its hearing to detect small or distant sounds. If your hearing is always at peak levels, you’re probably overwhelmed by everyday noise. This shows how he can control his laser beam or his ability to fly with his super hearing that can be adjusted at will.

An inconsistent force that leaves open questions

In successive seasons, the series has featured villains using their hearing to track heartbeats and sounds that are unrecognizable to humans. This decision of the A-Train to go all the way to Toronto, although it seems like a stretch, makes sense given his extreme fear and caution.

Although the show clearly establishes that Super is one of the most powerful and feared creatures, the inconsistency of his Super Trial image in Episode 4 Episode 6 leaves a feeling of confusion. While he needs to actively focus to fully utilize his hearing, this explanation is not clearly presented in the narrative, leading fans to question the internal consistency of his powers.

The effect of these disagreements on the composition

These differences affect not only the perception of the character, but the overall narrative of the series. The tension and fear the character inflicts on his enemies and allies is based on his omnipresence and omnipresence. The underlying image of vulnerability in the character is undermined by showing that his authority can be easily escaped.
