Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a film about the dangers of machines, will have an AI-generated version.
A version of Terminator 2: Artificial Intelligence-Generated Judgment Day will be released.
The amazing remake of Terminator 2
Our T2 Remake is a movie made by 50 of the most talented artists in the industry and recently released on March 6 in Los Angeles.
The team involved in the project started production during the writers’ strike, and Nem Perez (film director in Los Angeles) and Sway Molina (actor in Miami) were behind everything. Perez and Molina gathered 50 artists from around the world to recreate every part of the film. In other words, the work is divided into different parts of James Cameron’s film and each artist invented their corresponding part using different AI styles.
Below we share the press release of the project.
“T2 Remake is a new era in cinema where entire films can now be created by machine. “The film offers commentary and humor on the beloved 1991 classic about today’s AI technology and its impact on humanity.”
“This film is inspired by the Robocop Remake, dedicated to the AI community and celebrates this creative space. “Our T2 Remake revives a classic narrative that is often referred to negatively in AI discourse and challenges the ‘doomsday’ view.”
“Hosted entirely via Discord and Zoom by an international team of artists, this collaborative project allowed everyone involved to comment and contribute ideas, resulting in a unique mixed media experience. Every 2 or 3 minutes, the film shifts to a new interpretation, maintaining a coherent plot.”
