The discarded ideas of Superman and Lois
During an interview with TVLine, Helbing mentioned what they had to discard because the fourth season of the series was the last.
“If we had continued for another couple of seasons, we would have really explored Brainiac. We were going to do cool, traditional things with Brainiac. We also wanted to include Darkseid in the show and find a way to get to Darkseid, even though we weren’t sure if DC would give us permission to use Darkseid, but we would do everything we could to try to get it. “It would have been a lot of fun.”
On the other hand, Fletcher said they were hopeful Adam Rayner will return as half-brother of Superman, Tal Roh/Morgan Edgea character last seen in the second season of the series, but they ultimately didn’t find a way to do it since it only had four seasons.
Superman and Lois It was a program that had a good number of followers, too bad it couldn’t have more seasons. It’s likely that James Gunn simply didn’t want two versions of the Man of Steel to coexist because that might distract fans. The director now has the difficult mission of delivering a Superman that fans will like.
