Streamer Staryuki is at it again and wowed us with her latest Chun Li cosplay.
The world of video games has given us so many characters, some more famous than others, but like Chun Li, there are those who transcend the boundaries of this medium and become cultural icons for many.
The iconic fighter is the first female character to be introduced in the long-running Street Fighter saga. His appearance led to the second game in 1991, World Warrior, Saga, a landmark in the history of video games. Since then, the character has been one of the faces of the franchise appearing in all Street Fighter games as well as spin-offs.
In the story of the games, the warrior is of Chinese origin, her name in Mandarin (春丽) means “spring beauty”. As a young man, he followed in his father’s footsteps and joined Interpol, but above all, he was able to take revenge on Shadalo, the criminal organization that investigated his father’s death and killed him. He is a martial artist with extensive knowledge of Wu-Shu/Kung-Fu and often combines his skills with Tai Chi movements.
The appearance of the character is different at different times in the video games in the saga as well as other aspects that he has shown in other games. The character’s fame and striking appearance have made the character very popular in the cosplay world.
Staryuki Chun Lee Cosplay
We’ve already talked about Staryuki’s various cosplays over time. Her real name is Elizabeth Maria Erigola, she is a Twitch streamer who was born in Havana, Cuba but moved to America at a young age. Although she performs all kinds of live shows, the streamer is known and loved for her video game performances and most of all for her friendly and selfless nature.
This Twitch streamer loves the world of cosplay, and her latest demo is recreating the look of the superhero Chun Li. As you can see, the streamer is wearing the usual blue and gold qipao. The warrior’s dress is not a typical Chinese woman’s dress, because it is impossible to move easily and quickly during the battle, which is why it is very open below the waist.
As seen in the photos, the content creator is wearing the usual brown tights that the fighter usually wears. To finish off the cosplay, the artist wore some colorful bracelets, maybe smaller than what the character wears in the games, but they look amazing.
