Legendary actress Sigourney Weaver is in talks with Disney to become part of the Star Wars universe.

The next movie in the Star Wars universe, The Mandalorian and Grog, will be close to launch with player choice.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sigourney Weaver is in talks to join Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and Grogun, so she has yet to seal a deal to be a part of the popular franchise project. The news does not reveal the actress’ role.

If the talks end in a deal, this would be a great signing for Disney and Lucasfilm. Many know Weaver for playing Ellen Ripley in the Alien franchise, but the reality is that the actress has an impressive career. Weaver went on to work on the Ghostbusters saga, and more recently, we saw her in James Cameron’s Avatar films. The star has also been nominated for an Oscar three times.

The Mandalorian and the Groove will be released in theaters on May 22, 2026.
