In Star Wars Celebration Japan, Lucasfilm announced Maul – Lord of the ShadowA whole new animated series based on Dark Maul.
CBR Films / TV Jr. Editor (and resident Star Wars Expert) Jamie Parker was present at the Panel de Lucasfilm Animation 20th anniversary in Tokyo, while the new project was announced. Images have been shown to those of the event, and the actor of Maul Voice Sam Witwer appeared on stage.

Maul made his debut in 1999 The ghost threatPlayed Ray Park and expressed by Peter Serafinowicz. The character is a Zabrak of Dathomir who was removed by Dark Sidious as a child and became his first Sith apprentice. Obi-Wan Kenobi apparently killed Maul Episode Ibut at Clone wars (Where Witwer expressed it), it was revealed that he had used the dark side to preserve himself. It was also established that he had pierced the title “Dark” and gave up the Sith after realizing that he was simply Sidious’ Pawn. Instead, Maul has become a ruthless crime lord.
