Tom Holland talks about the status of Spider-Man 4 and his commitment to the Marvel character.

In an interview with Collider, Holland explained the status of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s fourth installment of Spider-Man, as well as how production-related discussions with studios are going. We share Holland’s words below.
“All I can say is that we are actively engaged in conversations about what the fourth interpretation of my character looks like. Whether we can find a way to do justice to the character is another matter. I feel very protective of Spider-Man. I’m very, very lucky to be able to make a franchise that gets better with every movie, more successful with every movie, which I think is really rare, and whose legacy I want to preserve. So I don’t do another just to do another. It has to be valuable to the character.
Although the actor has revealed that the next Spider-Man film is still in the early stages, information may be holding him back. Maybe Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios want to keep their plans under wraps until the superhero movie is announced.
At this time, Spider-Man 4 does not have a release date.
