Sean Gunn will play Maxwell Lord, a character already established in Wonder Woman 1984

Sean Gunn will be Lord Maxwell

Maxwell Lord now returns to the DCU after debuting in Wonder Woman 1984 but played by a different actor. According to Deadline, Sean Gunn, known for his work on Guardians of the Galaxy and Suicide Squad, has been tapped to replace Pedro Pascal as Maxwell’s master. Sean returns to the DC Universe as Weasel in Creature Commando.

It’s not yet clear which project Maxwell Lord will appear in, but the report hints that the character will be key in James Gunn’s DCU. In the comics, the villain is a business man with telepathic powers who uses the heroes to form a gang for his own interests. Wonder Woman manages to kill Maxwell Lord, though he later comes back from the dead to avenge her.
