The war between land and sea is a reality

The first Doctor Who episode was confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con. The battle between land and sea expands the world of the popular franchise.

Russell T. Davies and Pete McTighe are writing the spin-off series, and Dylan Holz-Baker will direct all five test episodes. The show will begin filming in September and will see the return of stars Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Below, we share Davis’ words about this project.

Series summary

“A global crisis ensues when an ancient and terrifying species emerges from the ocean and mysteriously reveals itself to humanity. With the entire nation in danger, UNIT springs into action as land and sea go to war. Created by “Doctor Who” show and executive producer Russell T. Davies, who wrote the competition with Pete McTeague (The Witcher’s Quest, The Covenant, Doctor Who), this series marks the triumphant return of Sea Devils (Sea Devils), the classic Doctor Who villain first seen in 1972.
