Marvel Studios Reveals Important Information About Captain America 4, Thunderbolts*, Fantastic Four, and Upcoming Avengers Movies

Marvel Studios surprised fans once again at San Diego Comic-Con, revealing information about some of its upcoming movies.

Captain America: Brave New World

Giancarlo Esposito appeared at the Marvel Studios panel with his colleagues and confirmed that he will play the “King of the Snake Society” Sidwinder.

A clip of President Ross appearing and transforming into the Red Hulk in front of the White House has been shown. However, in the past, they want to see about the discovery of Tiamut in the Indian Ocean and what some countries can extract from the celestial body. Ross introduces the people he talks to Adamatium. So it’s been confirmed that the iconic Iron Man will come from that celestial in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

David Harbor took to the stage dressed as the Red Guardian, where he spoke about the film with the rest of the cast. The preview of the movie was shown but it was not released on the internet. Total Film shared a material description.

“Yelena visits the Red Guardian’s apartment and tells him that her only reason to live is to kill others. They then meet up with the rest of the Thunderbolts (Bucky Barnes, John Walker, Ghost, and Taskmaster), but discover they’ve all been assigned the same dangerous mission, and they want to know why.

After the trailer, Marvel Studios confirmed that Lewis Pullman will be playing Bob, so it’s practically a given that the actor will be Sentry in the MCU.

Fantastic four

The new title of the film has been announced as Fantastic Four: The First Steps and shooting is said to begin on Tuesday. At the event, Marvel Studios showed very early test footage showing the heroes preparing for a space mission. The audience saw Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) teaching a science class, and the actor was said to have an “old school accent”.

Fantastic Four: The Originals is set in the retro-future of the 1960s in an alternate New York City.

The four main actors were present at the Marvel Studios event, but didn’t get to show too much. Michael Giacchino has also been confirmed to direct music for the film. Finally, the legendary superhero Fantastikaar flies through Hall H.

The next Avengers movies

Marvel Studios decided to play it safe, and chose Doctor Doom as the solution to their problems. The next Avengers movie is called Avengers: Doomsday and will hit theaters in May 2026. As for Avengers: Secret Wars, this will be released in May 2027.

As expected, these films will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and Stephen McFeely will be the writer for both films (it is still unclear why Christopher Markus was not involved). However, the show’s most important moment was when it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom.
