Ryan Reynolds confirms Deadpool and Wolverine cameo link to Welcome to Wrexham


One of Deadpool and WolverineDeadpool’s many variations prided themselves on their teamwork.


In an Instagram post, Ryan Reynolds shared a photo of himself alongside unmasked Wrexham AFC football player Paul Mullin, confirming that Mullin was one of the many extras in his film’s big Deadpool Corps fight scene.You may have noticed that one member of the Deadpool Corps is much more deadly than the others. WELSHPOOL” he wrote, drawing attention to the red, white and green Mullin colors of the team Reynolds co-owns that made it the focus of his FX series Welcome to Wrexham.


Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, has his claws extended and is wearing the classic yellow and blue Wolverine costume while behind him are more images of him as Wolverine in grayscale.

Since its first broadcast this weekend, Deadpool and Wolverine was a massive critical and commercial success for Marvel Studios. Reports show that the film not only grossed $211 million for its opening weekend—holding one of the highest domestic box office openings of all time—but holds a 79% critics’ score and a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, the latter making it one of the highest-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe films to date. The film’s story follows Deadpool who, after being recruited by LokiThe TVA character must travel to the Earth-616 universe and team up with a Wolverine variant (Hugh Jackman) to prevent the destruction of his dimension. Trailers have premiered of Deadpool and Wolverine meeting several members of Fox X-Men cameos, including villains like Pyro and Sabertooth, though the film also features appearances from characters from Marvel’s pre-MCU past, including Jennifer Garner’s Elekra Natchios.
