Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon continue with Frank Castle’s most badass stage in the fourth volume of Panini Comics’ Marvel Saga line of The Punisher, which features Wolverine as a special guest
The political incorrectness of Garth Ennis has never had limits, and if we ignore things like that Preacher maybe he’s in his hilarious phase with Steve Dillon in the series of Franco Castello Where will this man have fun doing evil? The fourth compilation volume of this series comes to us from Panini Comics under the title of Marvel saga. The Punisher by Ennis and Dillon 4 – Killing la vida loca.
From Colombia to Ireland
In this volume we will find a Punisher very travelled, and in the first narrative arc we will see him visit Colombia to save an important mafia boss. This, which doesn’t seem to make much sense to anyone who knows the character, is clearly explained in the story. However, despite how justified this action may be, ultimately nature is strong and Frank’s instincts cannot be helped…
Our disturbed protagonist will also visit Northern Ireland to delve into the center of Belfast and the conflict that is developing there. This topic has already been touched upon by Ennis on several occasions throughout his career, and we will return to it later. It’s clear that it’s something that interests him greatly for obvious reasons and that he always has something interesting to say about and a refreshing point of view to contribute…
Team up with Wolverine
The special guest on this occasion is Glutton. Spider-Man He had already suffered the Irish screenwriter’s hatred for superheroes in previous adventures and now it’s the clawed mutant’s turn. adamantium. Logan Here he is portrayed as a simpleton who is better at cutting than thinking, and Ennis will be cruel to him, starting to deprive him of face in the first moments of the story.
Darick Robertsonhis partner in The boystakes care of the graphic part of this adventure and does a good job, but it is difficult to leave aside a Dillon who has already demonstrated on other occasions (with Daniel Via specifically) which Wolverine is very good at.
The brilliant Joe Quesada
In this volume we will also find a small oddity that really stands out. This is a story drawn by the former boss of Marvel Comics Joe Quesada at its best. The peculiarity of this story is that we will always see it from inside the mouth of a character, from where we will witness the torture he will suffer at the hands of the man with the skull on his chest. Not suitable for people who have to go to the dentist in the near future.
In short, we are faced with another hilarious volume of Punisher which will appeal to all those readers who know what they will find. It’s not recommended reading for those who can’t stand Ennis’s heavy humor or have problems with political incorrectness, but others can’t afford not to read a volume with an incredibly interesting title like Killing crazy life.
