The new series Ten Thousand Ships in the Game of Thrones universe promises to revolutionize Westeros after its rebirth.

Just when we thought the Game of Thrones universe had closed its doors, an exciting prospect rose from the depths of oblivion: the Ten Thousand Ships set sail again. After a brief stint in dry dock, HBO has decided to revive this ambitious project, initially rejected, which now promises to spread its canvas into unknown narrative horizons.

The revival of the series will soon come with a statement from George RR Martin, who has confirmed the revival of the project and announced that Ebony Booth will be responsible for writing the pilot episode. Recognized for her theater work on Broadway and off-Broadway, Booth’s experience and talent suggests that the new series in the kingdom of Westeros could be another jewel in HBO’s crown.

The ever-eloquent Martin was full of praise for Booth: “She’s an incredibly talented young playwright, and a pleasure to work with. While she’s not writing and doing her award-winning work, HBO and I have been busy working on this new pilot. And the challenge is no less: re-creating Nymeria and the Rhoynar’s epic journey, a story that demands an epic tale, including “ten thousand ships, three hundred dragons, and those giant turtles.”

A project with deep roots and high ambitions

Brian Helgeland, who started developing the series, initially denied any tantalizing details about the project at HBO. The reason, according to Helgeland, was the temporal distance between the events of his sequel and the main episodes of the original series, which led to the termination of the project. However, Helgeland never gave up hope: “Nothing is truly dead…” he said.

Helgeland’s script parallels the biblical story of Moses, with little mention of Queen Nymeria in the Westerosi Encyclopedia. Nymeria, as leader of the Rhoynar, leads her people across a perilous sea in search of a new home, a narrative that echoes the story of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt. “Basically, it’s the story of Moses, but it’s replaced by Nymeria,” Helgeland says.

Floating and nomadic house

The series promises not only battles and adventures, but also explores the dynamics of a nomadic community living together in a floating city. This constant search for home, the promised land, is the backbone of this epic drama.

With tens of thousands of ships, the streaming platform promises to expand the Marvel universe as well as revolutionize the way we tell epic stories. The combination of talents like Booth and Helgeland, led by Martin’s vision, is destined to be a journey of success, ensuring that the Game of Thrones legacy will continue to captivate fans for years to come.

Many more Westeros series

In addition to Ten Thousand Ships, the Game of Thrones universe is expanding with many other exciting projects. One of them is House of Dragons, a continuation of the history of House Targaryen 300 years before the events of the original series. Based on the book “Fire and Blood” by George RR Martin, this series promises to reveal the secrets and inner struggles that define this powerful family.

Another project in development is The Sea Snake, which chronicles the seafaring adventures of one of the most famous sailors in Westeros, Lord Corlys Velarion, known as the Sea Snake. This spin-off explores new areas of the known world with promising twists and turns in each episode.

With these new additions, HBO wants to keep Game of Thrones fans interested and excited, offering new perspectives and delving deeper into the rich stories that make up this complex universe.
